About Plasko's Farm

Plasko’s Farm originated in 1925 by the first generation immigrants from Czechoslovakia, Martin and Mary Plasko. Martin was only 16 when he arrived to the United States. He worked on an Oyster boat in Norwalk for about 10 years before saving enough money to buy the land in Trumbull where he and his wife Mary would raise their family. The farm was continued by the next generation, John and Pauline Plasko. They established the 8-acre farm on Daniels Farm Road in 1952, as well as 20 acres of additional farmland.

In 1997, John Plasko Jr. rebuilt and expanded the farm to not only its original purpose of a nursery and farming sweet corn & other produce, but also to include a country store & full-blown bakery in addition to a corn maze, pumpkins and Christmas Tree sales.  In 2017, John and his wife Lisa incorporated a new creamery which serves Ultra Premium Homemade Ice Cream & Italian Ices which are made FRESH DAILY on premises using only the highest quality ingredients.

In 2020 the Plasko’s announced the opening of Plasko’s Café, where our tradition of quality continues with the introduction of our new premium handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks. Our ultra-premium coffee beans are roasted specifically for us, resulting in a flavor which is unsurpassed and available only at Plasko’s. Our team of experienced baristas can prepare you a large variety of specialty drinks, like Cappuccinos, Lattes, Macchiatos, and Frappes, plus cold brew, nitro brew, along with hot and Iced Tea options. You can also try our delicious Chai and Matcha Lattes or one of our original hot apple cider drinks. Add our homemade ice cream to one of our specialty coffee drinks for a taste experience of a lifetime. Sit by the stone fireplace in our new indoor seating area and enjoy the rustic beauty of our recently restored barn while enjoying your favorite hot beverage along with something from our new premium pastry collection. Come home to Plasko’s Café for an experience you’ll want to share with family and friends over and over again.
