Taste the Difference... Wholesome and Homegrown
Homemade Freshness Crafted Daily on Premises
IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES
We are once again able to offer everyone our delicious ultra-premium homemade ice cream and Italian Ices.
Phone orders for onsite pick up will be available daily. Even though our store will remain closed to the public, our full frozen dessert menu and our famous apple cider doughnuts, will be available for takeout.
We will be strictly following social distancing guidelines, so at this time no walk-up orders can be accepted. Please keep in mind, this will limit the amount of orders we can receive at any given time. We ask that everyone please be patient during this difficult period. Those interested in placing an order should contact the farm at (203) 268-2716. Our hours of operation and menu will be posted on our website, and will be updated as necessary as circumstances change.
We request that all orders be prepaid by credit card, but special zero contact arrangements for cash payments can be accommodated if necessary. Upon arriving at the farm for pick up, a designated phone number will be posted for you to call and notify us of your arrival. Your order will then be brought out and placed on a table under our red and white striped tent. Please only send one person per group and/or family. In order to maintain zero contact, we ask that you provide ample time for our team member to walk clear before approaching the table to retrieve your order.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We look forward to servicing all our wonderful customers again in the safest way possible. We greatly appreciate your continued support of our business!
We will be open daily, 7 days a week, from 12 pm – 8 pm until further notice (starting on Saturday April 18th)
Plasko’s Farm originated in 1925 by the first generation immigrants from Czechoslovakia, Martin and Mary Plasko. Martin was only 16 when he arrived to the United States. He worked on an Oyster boat in Norwalk for about 10 years before saving enough money to buy the land in Trumbull where he and his wife Mary would raise their family. The farm was continued by the next generation, John and Pauline Plasko. They established the 8-acre farm on Daniels Farm Road in 1952, as well as 20 acres of additional farmland.
In 1997, John Plasko Jr. rebuilt and expanded the farm to not only its original purpose of farming sweet corn and other produce, but also to include a nursery, country store & full-blown bakery. Most recently, John and his wife Lisa incorporated a brand new creamery which offers the general public a glimpse of how their family strives to maintain a farm in Connecticut. Above all, the Plasko family is extremely passionate about maintaining the rural charm that characterizes Trumbull.
Plasko's Farm is the last remaining fully operating farm in Trumbull.
